Unlike our other mattress toppers, the down alternative featherbed topper is machine washable. Throw it in by itself in the gentle cycle with cold water and no bleach. Tumble dry low.
Down is naturally hypoallergenic, but to ensure that our down-filled bedding products are suitable even to sensitive sleepers, our down and feathers are thoroughly washed and sanitized before filling to further remove any lingering allergens.
Fill power refers to the volume per one ounce of down. Higher fill power means better insulation and loft retention.
You should expect to replace your topper after about three to five years. This also depends on other factors like the quality of the materials, the age and condition of the mattress, and the thickness of the mattress topper.
