Saatva Teams Up with Samsung, Taking Retail Experience to the Next Level
What happens when the internet’s premier luxury mattress brand teams up with the tech world’s most innovative maker of digital displays? You get a shopping experience unlike any other.
Saatva has partnered with Samsung to outfit our first-ever Viewing Room with state-of-the-art retail technology, including floor-to-ceiling LED monitors with customizable messaging at the entrance, tablets and wall screens throughout the space featuring product and company information, and behavior sensing technology that senses what a customer is looking at and delivers specific information about that product.
“We’re so excited to partner with Samsung on our new Viewing Room,” said Saatva CEO Ron Rudzin. “Their retail technology keeps us on the cutting edge of what today’s consumers are looking for and helps bring to life the luxury experience we want people to be part of as they enter the Saatva world.”
Rudzin describes Saatva’s Viewing Room as “an extension of our online presence.” As soon as visitors enter the immersive 3,300-square-foot space, they see Samsung’s OMN-D Series digital signage displaying a scroll of customer reviews. As they make their way through the store, they’ll also notice wall-mounted monitors broadcasting Saatva’s anthem video and other company information, as well as Samsung’s latest mobile devices, which they can use to learn more about each of our six luxury mattresses. The space also features Samsung’s state-of-the-art behavior sensing technology. Pick up a pair of sheets, for example, and a screen on the wall will change to display information about that product.
“Samsung’s portfolio of retail solutions enable brick-and-mortar retailers to elevate their retail environment and create a visually engaging experience for customers,” said Harry Patz, senior vice president and general manager, display division, Samsung Electronics America, in a press release. “With a broad range of commercial display technologies that can be completely customizable to fit a myriad of business needs, Samsung is helping today’s retailers captivate customers inside and outside the store.”
In December, Sleep Retailer, an independent trade publication, reviewed Saatva’s Viewing Room: “Void of cheap gimmicks, the showroom exudes style and class while also feeling warm and inviting,” according to the review.
In addition to the digital tech on display at the store, Sleep Retailer also called out the soft lighting, calming surroundings, and modern and clean style of the space.
