Saatva Opens First-of-Its-Kind Viewing Room in New York City

/ December 4, 2019

If you live in the New York City area or are planning to travel here soon, we have exciting news: You can now experience Saatva's mattresses for yourself at our newly opened Viewing Room, located at 969 Third Avenue (58th Street) in Manhattan.

Saatva's 3,300-square-foot space, our first physical location, was designed by renowned interior designer Vicente Wolf, who describes the Viewing Room as "a sensory experience that represents what Saatva stands for."

Under a sky-blue ceiling and surrounded by natural materials and Mediterranean colors, you can see and try out all of our products (mattresses, sheets, pillows, and designer bed frames) at your own pace.

"As a self-guided space, it invites consumers to use the information stations to self-educate and make a purchase that permits them to sleep soundly," Wolf says. In addition to iPads and information stations set up throughout the Viewing Room, our trained sleep guides will also be on-hand to answer questions.

“With our new Viewing Room, we've created a beautiful, tranquil oasis for customers that's unlike anything else in the bedroom furnishings market," says Ron Rudzin, Saatva's CEO. “An extension of our online presence, it's another way to experience our commitment to delivering white-glove customer service and high-quality, premium products that don't come in a box."

Saatva mattresses available at the Saatva Viewing Room

Here's a rundown of the luxury mattresses you'll find at Saatva's Viewing Room:

Saatva Classic

Our flagship mattress is a hybrid innerspring mattress featuring a dual-coil system for that "classic" innerspring feel you know and love. The support base is made from tempered, recycled steel to provide stability and resist sagging. It's topped with a second layer of individually wrapped coils that add contouring ability and reduce motion transfer.

With a layer of high-density 5-lb. viscoelastic memory foam and a layer of 4-lb. convoluted (wavy) memory foam infused with cooling gel, our ultra-premium memory foam mattress hugs your curves, cradles your body's pressure points, and ensures cool sleep. Denser foam infused with a higher concentration of cooling gel in the center third of the mattress provides lumbar support.

Our precision adjustable air mattress is constructed with individual air chambers that can be inflated or deflated to achieve a precise level of comfort—making it a great option for couples with different sleep preferences or anyone who wants to be able to change their comfort level. There are 50 unique firmness settings in all. The in-rail inflator is built into the edge of the mattress so you never see it.

Saatva HD

Our hybrid innerspring designed exclusively for people weighing between 300 and 500 pounds feels like a classic innerspring, with a Euro pillow top that cradles your weight but never lets you sink in too deeply. A single support layer of highly durable coils (25% stronger than the industry average) offers optimal support for high-weight sleepers, while a helical wire adds contouring ability and eliminates motion transfer.
