As part of our mission to promote a cleaner, healthier planet, we\u2019ve proudly partnered with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.evertreen.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Evertreen<\/a> to actively combat deforestation and reduce carbon emissions\u2014one tree at a time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since <strong>September 2022<\/strong>, Saatva has been planting <strong>500 mangrove trees per month<\/strong>, building what we proudly call the <em>Saatva Forest<\/em>. As of <strong>April 2023<\/strong>, including generous tree donations from <a href=\"https:\/\/beddingindustriesofamerica.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bedding Industries Of America<\/a>, our forest has reached<strong> 7,000 trees<\/strong>\u2014with many more to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can follow our forest\u2019s growth and carbon impact here:<br>\ud83c\udf33 <a href=\"https:\/\/evertreen.com\/company\/saatva\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Saatva&#8217;s Forest on Evertreen<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"1080\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1920 \/ 1080;\" width=\"1920\" controls src=\"https:\/\/press-room.saatva.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Saatvas-Thank-You-Video.mov\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Growing Impact<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Our reforestation efforts are on track to plant an <strong>additional 6,000 trees per year<\/strong>, bringing our total to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>13,000 trees by April 2024<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>19,000 trees by April 2025<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u2026and continuing to grow.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Each tree is estimated to offset <strong>1.5 tons of CO\u2082 over its lifetime<\/strong>, meaning:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>As of April 2023, our impact is <strong>1,050 tons of CO\u2082 offset<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>With <strong>an additional 900 tons<\/strong> expected to be offset every year moving forward<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why Mangroves?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Mangroves are known for their fast-growing carbon absorption capacity and play a vital role in coastal ecosystems. While the CO\u2082 offset increases over time as these trees mature, even now, their presence is helping to capture carbon, stabilize coastlines, and support biodiversity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Planting Purposefully<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This partnership with Evertreen is more than a symbolic gesture.
