Saatva Announces Its Title Sponsorship of 2023 Empire Classic
The Smarter Luxury Sleep Company headlines the 2-day sporting event benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project.
Saatva, the Smarter Luxury Sleep Company, is pleased to announce its title sponsorship of the Empire Classic College Basketball tournament on November 19-20, 2023.
“We couldn’t be more excited to sponsor this high-caliber tournament right in our own hometown,” said Ron Rudzin, Founder and CEO of Saatva. “We’re also extremely proud to support the Wounded Warrior Project, which is such a tremendous resource serving our military veterans.”
Founded in New York, Saatva was the first company to sell luxury, made-to-order mattresses online. Its name, “Saatva,” is derived from the Sanskrit word meaning truth, purity, and wholeness, which guides the brand in everything it does. Unlike most other online mattress brands, Saatva delivers and sets up all its products in the customer’s home, creating an ultra-luxury and hassle-free buying experience. By selling directly to the consumer, Saatva is able to offer the highest quality at the best price.
This 4-game tournament will be played on November 19 and 20, 2023, at Madison Square Garden, home of the world-famous New York Knicks. The field consists of four Division 1 NCAA teams: Indiana, Louisville, Texas, and UConn. The semifinal games—UConn vs. Indiana, and Texas vs. Louisville—will take place on Sunday, November 19, with the third-place and Championship game on Monday, November 20.
“We are delighted to welcome Saatva as Title Sponsor of the Empire Classic,” said Rick Giles, President of the Gazelle Group, producer of the event. “We look forward to introducing college basketball fans to Saatva’s affordable, luxury mattresses and bedding products. With its flagship retail location only blocks from Madison Square Garden, Saatva will have a significant presence at The World’s Most Famous Arena and during the national TV broadcasts on ESPN.”
