Saatva Partners with CORE & Casa Gateway to Restore Comfort for Residents Impacted by Palisades Wildfires
Saatva Provided Luxury Mattresses for Seniors and Families Returning Home After the Palisades Wildfires
Saatva, the Smarter Luxury Sleep company, announced its support for the relocation of residents at Casa Gateway, a senior and family housing complex in Los Angeles, following smoke remediation after the Palisades wildfires earlier this year. In partnership with CORE (Community Organized Relief Effort) and The Change Reaction, Saatva donated 15 new luxury mattresses to help ensure seniors and families returning home could do so with comfort, safety, and dignity.
After weeks of remediation, residents were finally able to return to their homes. Saatva’s contribution made that return more than just a move back into housing; it created a restorative environment centered on wellness and rest. “When people come home after something as life-upending as wildfire and smoke damage, they deserve more than walls restored. They deserve to feel safe and supported in every element of their lives,” said Tracy Reines, Disaster Response Lead for CORE. “We were honored that Saatva’s partnership helped bring that sense of home back.”

“At Saatva, we believe that restorative sleep is essential at every stage of life,” said Ron Rudzin, Founder and CEO of Saatva. “In the wake of the recent wildfires, we were especially proud to support the Palisades community through the Casa Gateway Project alongside CORE and The Change Reaction, ensuring that residents received not only comfort, but also the dignity and care they deserved as they rebuilt and recovered.”
To formally honor this milestone and welcome residents back into safe, healthy homes, a Welcome Home event was held on Monday, September 29, 2025. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, The Change Reaction, and CORE joined residents and partners to celebrate the occasion. Bill Powell, Saatva Los Angeles Viewing Room Manager, was also present to represent the company’s ongoing commitment to the community.
Tailored Support for Residents

For residents at Casa Gateway, the Saatva Classic Mattress provided hotel-inspired comfort with a plush 3″ Euro pillow top and a responsive dual-coil design that balances cushioning with support. Its chiropractor-approved Lumbar Zone® Technology helps maintain healthy spinal alignment, while the breathable organic cotton cover with Guardin™ antimicrobial treatment ensures a clean and comfortable sleep surface.

Some families returning home received the Saatva Memory Foam Hybrid Mattress, designed to combine body-contouring comfort with everyday practicality. Its AirCradle™ memory foam relieves pressure, individually wrapped coils add responsiveness, and the LuxeCool™ system actively disperses heat, creating a cooler, more restful sleep environment for all ages.

Seniors with chronic back and joint conditions benefited most from the Saatva Rx Mattress, specifically engineered to ease pain associated with sciatica, arthritis, scoliosis, and similar conditions. The Therapeutic Support Core™ adapts to body movements, reducing pressure points and improving circulation, while Lumbar Zone® Quilting and gel-infused memory foam promote restorative, therapeutic rest.

An Ongoing Partnership
This initiative was built on Saatva’s ongoing partnership with CORE, following the organization’s support at the grand opening event of the Saatva Pasadena Viewing Room earlier this summer. The Casa Gateway donation extended this commitment, underscoring Saatva’s belief that true luxury lies in making wellness and restorative living accessible where it is needed most. As Saatva celebrates its 15th anniversary this year, the company continues to honor its founding mission: bringing comfort, care, and healthier sleep to communities nationwide.
