Celebrating a Legendary Career and a Legacy That Redefined U.S. Cross-Country Skiing
Saatva, the Smarter Luxury Sleep Company, joins the global skiing community in celebrating U.S. Olympic gold medalist, three-time overall World Cup champion, and Team Saatva athlete Jessie Diggins, who has formally announced her retirement following the conclusion of the 2025–26 competitive season.
The most decorated cross-country skier in U.S. history, Diggins will complete one final year on the World Cup circuit, racing from Ruka, Finland, through the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, and culminating with a farewell weekend at the Stifel Lake Placid Finals in Lake Placid, New York.
Diggins, 34 years old, announced that she is “ready in my heart and my soul” to take her last lap after a 16-year professional career defined by grit, joy, and a relentless commitment to elevating her sport and her community.

From capturing Team USA’s first-ever Olympic gold medal in cross-country skiing in PyeongChang 2018 to earning three Olympic medals, seven World Championship podiums, 29 World Cup victories, 79 World Cup podiums, and three overall FIS Crystal Globes, Diggins’ career has redefined what is possible for American Nordic athletes.
Her impact extends far beyond accolades. Diggins has been a vocal advocate for mental health, environmental sustainability, and athlete well-being—openly sharing her journey with vulnerability and strength, and championing systemic improvements within her sport.

Diggins envisions a community “last lap” on the Lake Placid course following the final race weekend, a tribute to the thousands who will gather to cheer her home.

Jessie Diggins is an American cross-country skier and Olympic champion. She was born in Afton, Minnesota, and began skiing at the age of three. She emerged as a top competitor in the U.S. junior ranks before making her World Cup debut in 2011.
Diggins made history at the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018, teaming up with Kikkan Randall to win gold in the team sprint—the first Olympic gold medal in U.S. cross-country skiing history. She continued her success at the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022, earning a silver in the individual sprint and a bronze in the 30-kilometer freestyle.

About Noah Elliott
Noah Elliott grew up in St. Charles, Missouri, with dreams of becoming a professional skateboarder. At age 15, after experiencing severe leg pain following a skateboarding event, he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare bone cancer, and underwent an above-the-knee amputation of his left leg. Soon after, he attended a camp for children with cancer in Colorado, where he met U.S. Paralympic champion Brenna Huckaby, a fellow osteosarcoma survivor. Inspired by her story and the adaptive sports community, Elliott decided to trade his skateboard for a snowboard and began training in Para snowboarding.
Less than two years after learning to ride, Elliott made his Paralympic debut at the Paralympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018, where he captured gold in banked slalom and bronze in snowboard cross. Elliott is a three-time World Champion and has nine World Championship medals to his name. Last season, Elliott earned a staggering five World Cup wins and three additional podiums. His consistency and speed helped him win the banked slalom and overall Crystal Globes for the 2024-25 season. The DTC mattress company opens its first retail experience in the Centennial State during its 15th anniversary year
Saatva, the Smarter Luxury Sleep Company, has arrived in Denver. The brand’s latest Viewing Room spans 3,074 square feet and is designed to transform the mattress shopping experience. Blending high-touch service with state-of-the-art digital technology, the immersive space invites residents to explore the future of luxury sleep in a calm, elevated environment. This marks Saatva’s first location in Colorado and 27th in the U.S., opening at a time of major growth during its milestone 15th anniversary.

“One of the first elements you experience is the incredible architecture of the ceiling,” said Devin Hines, Founder of Hines Collective. With its undulating lines, the coved ceiling guides visitors through the store as other design features layer on, contributing to that flow. There are numerous ‘wow’ moments throughout the interior, including a 6–by–10–foot changing digital display wall that allows customers to experience a Saatva mattress in the setting of their choice. Like all Saatva Viewing Rooms, the latest location is designed to be a relaxed, self-guided space where customers can use technology to interact with and learn about products at their own pace.
The Viewing Room aims to redefine the customer experience from the moment a visitor enters the space. With its aromatic fragrance, subdued color palette, warm lighting, sustainable flooring, and textured wall treatments, Saatva reflects the beauty of Denver’s unique character, creating a tranquil atmosphere to explore sleep solutions. Further into the space, silvery trees form a canopy under the ceiling’s gentle curves. Thanks to a partnership with Samsung, the Viewing Room is outfitted with state-of-the-art displays and the latest behavior-sensing technology to help customers discover, personalize, and build their ideal sleep experience. In addition to the digital “hero” wall, composed of nine Samsung VM46T-U 46-inch Full HD Ultra-Narrow Bezel Video Wall Displays, information kiosks at each bed display allow visitors to interact with the collection at their own pace, with knowledgeable Sleep Guides on hand to assist and answer questions.

About Ryan Cochran-Siegle
Ryan Cochran-Siegle started skiing at age two and is one of six alpine skiing Olympians in his family, which has a storied history in American skiing. The family’s legacy is rooted in the Cochran’s Ski Area, a non-profit mountain in Vermont started by his grandparents in 1961 that strives to provide all children with access to skiing.
Cochran-Siegle made the U.S. national alpine team for the 2011 season and became a two-time world junior champion in 2012. Despite suffering injuries, including a torn ACL in 2013 and a fractured neck in 2021, he persevered in his career. He made his Olympic debut at the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018 before going on to win his first FIS World Cup race in 2020.
At the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022, Cochran-Siegle earned a silver medal in the super-G, becoming the only U.S. alpine skiing medalist at those Games. He continues to be a notable force on the men’s speed World Cup circuit, with multiple podium finishes, and concluded the 2023-24 season with his best downhill world rank of eighth.
