Frequently asked questions
We’re glad you asked! Machine wash your bedding in cold water, with like colors, on a gentle cycle. Do not bleach. Tumble dry low and remove promptly—we’ve made our bedding slightly larger to account for natural shrinkage after first wash. Mild, organic detergents work best.
Bedding products returned within 45 days of the delivery date will get a full refund to the original form of payment. There are no restocking or penalty fees for used products, but we do ask that you wash your used bedding before returning.
When shopping for bedding, there are plenty of options to create your most ideal sleep environment. A great place to start is bedding sets. What comes in a bedding set? A typical sheet set will come with the following parts:
- Fitted sheet: designed with an elastic hem to fit directly over your mattress (or over your mattress and mattress pad/protector).
- Top sheet: sometimes called a flat sheet, this goes on top of the fitted sheet to add an extra layer of warmth. Some sheet sets on the market don’t include a top sheet to give you the option of using your duvet or quilt in lieu of that additional layer.
- Pillowcases: Saatva twin and twin XL sheet sets come with one standard pillowcase, queen size sets come with two standard pillowcases. King and Cal king sheet sets come with two king-sized pillowcases
For extra layers of warmth and coziness, there are duvets, comforters, and quilts that are either sold separately or in sets with matching pillow shams. Duvet covers (either sold separately or as part of a set with shams), are designed to go over your duvet or comforter to keep them cleaner longer. They’re machine washable and can be changed up seasonally to freshen up the look of your bedroom.
When most people look to upgrade their sleep quality, one of the first things they ask is “What is the most comfortable bedding?”. Comfort can be highly subjective, but there are lots of bedding options to suit every type of sleeper.
Sheet sets come in a variety of fabrics for all budgets and comfort preferences. If you suffer from allergies, hypoallergenic sheets like our organic cotton percale sheet set or linen sheet set are great options.
If you tend to sleep hot, natural fabrics like 100% cotton or linen are far more breathable than synthetic fabrics. They’re also better at wicking away moisture if you tend to sweat throughout the night.
Another thing to note is the thread count of sheets. According to the National Sleep Foundation, the sweet spot for thread count in cotton sheets is between 200 and 400. If you tend to sleep hot, a higher thread count may not be a great choice as it tends to trap body heat. Sticking to that sweet spot for thread count is a good way to ensure your cotton sheets won't feel too warm.
