What to Expect When Shopping at a Saatva Viewing Room
Written by John-Manuel Andriote
Saatva Viewing Rooms transform mattress shopping into a relaxing, pressure-free experience. Designed like boutique hotel lobbies, they let visitors test every Saatva mattress and explore bedding and accessories in a calm setting. Knowledgeable, noncommissioned Sleep Guides assist customers, who enjoy flexible ordering, free delivery, and generous home trial periods.
Shopping for a new mattress can often feel like a chore. Many people have walked into traditional mattress stores only to be greeted by rows of beds crammed into a brightly lit showroom and salespeople who hover nearby, eager to earn their commission.
The experience can feel rushed, confusing, and anything but restful—which is ironic, considering that the goal is to find the very thing that should give you the most rest.
At Saatva, we believe mattress shopping should reflect the same comfort, calm, and sense of well-being that our products provide.
That’s why we created Saatva Viewing Rooms—welcoming spaces designed to let you experience our mattresses and sleep products in a setting that feels more like a boutique hotel lobby than a traditional store.
When you visit, you’ll find that everything about the space has been intentionally designed to put you at ease. This article will explain exactly what to expect when you step into your local Saatva Viewing Room and how the experience is designed around you, the customer.

What is a Saatva Viewing Room?
Since launching in 2010, we’ve focused on bringing “affordable luxury” to sleep. While we began our business online, we quickly realized that many people still want to see, feel, and lie down on a mattress before making their choice. Viewing Rooms are our way of bringing that digital promise of luxury into the real world.
Each Viewing Room is designed with comfort in mind. Instead of harsh lighting or cluttered rows, you’ll find a soothing, elegant space. The setting invites you to take your time, explore, and most importantly, relax.
Our full line of Saatva mattresses is on display, each accompanied by a self-service kiosk with detailed information about the model. If you have questions, Saatva Sleep Guides are there to help.
Unlike traditional sales associates, they don’t work on commission. Their motivation is simple: confidence in our products and a genuine desire to help you find the mattress that best suits your needs.
Besides mattresses, Viewing Rooms also feature our expanding line of sleep products, including bed frames, bedding, pillows, mattress toppers, and other accessories. You can even experience our scented candles, created to help you build a calming bedtime routine at home.

What can I expect during my visit to a Saatva Viewing Room?
From the moment you walk in, you’ll notice that Saatva Viewing Rooms feel different. All of our mattresses are displayed on the floor for you to test.
You can try out different firmness levels, compare models side by side, and use touchscreen kiosks to explore their features and benefits. The most popular bed frames are also available to view and feel in person—helping you imagine how they might look in your own bedroom.
If you decide you’re ready to purchase, placing an order is just as simple. You can do it at a larger touchscreen kiosk at the front of the Viewing Room, with the assistance of a Sleep Guide, on your own phone, or even later from the comfort of your home.
No matter how you order a mattress, you’ll receive our industry-leading 365-night home trial, along with free white glove delivery that includes setup and mattress removal.
Viewing Rooms also carry samples of Saatva bedding for you to touch and test. While we don’t hold inventory of sleep accessories like pillows, mattress toppers, or protectors in-store, all of these items are available for delivery with free ground shipping.
Generous trial periods also apply—180 nights for toppers and 45 nights for bedding—so you can make sure each product works for you.
