Construction
Zenhaven is a dual-sided mattress. Above the highly durable latex support core is a layer of 5-zone latex that determines the comfort level. On one side is the softer Luxury Plush, which is ideal for side sleepers (but also great for back and combination sleepers); on the other side is firmer Gentle Firm, which is perfect for stomach sleepers or those who need or prefer a firm mattress. Above this is a layer of certified organic New Zealand wool that acts as a natural flame barrier and helps wick away moisture. Finally, the mattress has a quilted cover made with organic cotton and proprietary Lumbar Zone® Quilting for additional support.
The Saatva HD has a durable coil base that helps support sleepers weighing up to 500 pounds. This is topped with two comfort layers: one made from memory foam and one made from latex. The surface of the mattress is hand-tufted to help prevent body impressions.
Materials
The mattress is made with a combination of eco-conscious and healthier-for-you materials. This includes GOLS, GREENGUARD® Gold, and eco-INSTITUT® certified latex, certified organic New Zealand wool, and organic cotton.
In the Saatva HD, you’ll find 14-gauge steel coils that are individually-wrapped and 25% stronger than the industry standard to support sleepers weighing up to 500 pounds. A 1.5″ layer of CertiPUR-US® certified 5-pound memory foam and 1″ layer of 5-zone natural latex provide pressure-point relief and back support. The 3″ Euro pillow top contains a combination of plush fibers and comfort foams.
