Take a Peek Into Santa’s Bedtime Routine

Saatva makes Santa's job easier by providing him with a comfortable mattress for rest and recovery during the off-season. Santa reveals his bedtime routine and mentions that he and Mrs. Claus relax on the beaches of the North Pole in January. Saatva offers a variety of high-quality mattresses for better sleep.

‘Tis the season for attending holiday parties, shopping for gifts, and sipping hot cocoa by the fireplace. To mark the start of the festivities, we sat down with the very busy Santa Claus to learn how Saatva makes it easier for him to deliver toys and how he prioritizes sleep while working around the clock during the holidays.

How Saatva makes Santa’s job easier

As you can see from the above video, a noisy Santa presses his luck while delivering toys to no avail. Not even shredding on an electric guitar can wake this family from their deep, restful slumber atop a Saatva mattress.

A peek into Santa’s bedtime routine

Ever wondered how Santa unwinds after the holidays are over or whether Mrs. Claus is really a good sleep partner? Santa reveals all in the following Q&A.

Q: This is your busiest time of the year, culminating in a 24-hour solo flight around the world delivering presents to all the good boys and girls. What does the rest of the year look like for you?

A: We shut down the factory in January so the missus and I can take a little vacation and the elves can get some rest. Paid vacation, by the way—they’re union. Then it’s right back to work—making new toys, updating the naughty and nice lists—oh, and reindeer training.

Q: It’s very apparent that your job is physically demanding. How do you say strong and energized so you can operate at peak performance so well?

A: I have a Saatva at home. It’s a vital part of my rest and recovery program during the offseason.

Q: Do you find it therapeutic to make your list and check it twice before bed—or first thing in the morning?

A: Making lists and checking them twice is an important part of my day—vital, as a matter of fact. I start first thing in the morning and then check them twice, sometimes three times, right as we get into bed—right before Mrs. Claus turns off the lights.

Q: Does the late-night snacking on cookies and milk make you tired?

A: I thrive on cookies and milk. The calories and sugar get me through the day—you can tell.

Q: How do you and Mrs. Claus relax?

A: The North Pole has some beautiful beaches. That’s where you’ll find us in January.

Q: Is Mrs. Claus a good sleep partner?

Mrs. Claus sleeps like a rock. She’s the best sleep partner.

Q: Are you a side, back, or stomach sleeper?

A: Mrs. Claus and I are both back sleepers—come on.

Q: What’s your favorite Saatva mattress?

The Saatva Classic. It’s a classic for a reason—just like me. Merry Christmas.
